HEWITT – The Lamar Lady Bearcat 8th grade cross country teams participated in the Cen-Tex Middle School Cross Country Championships on Wednesday in Hewitt. The Lady Bearcats had two performers at the championships. Dejah Thomas finished in 26th place with a time of 19:53 in the two mile course while Jazmine Reynolds placed 30th in a time of 26:33.
The Centex Middle School Cross Country Championship will be held this Wednesday and Thursday hosted by Midway ISD. The meet will be run on the site of a future Midway Elementary school. The 2020-21 Cen-Tex Middle School district will have a different look this upcoming season with the addition of several schools. The district has expanded to 16 schools and will be divided into two divisions. Joining the current schools will be Belton M.S. (Belton ISD), Cesar Chavez M.S., G.W. Carver M.S., Indian Springs M.S., Tennyson M.S.

MCGREGOR – The Lamar Lady Bearcat 7th and 8th grade cross country teams participated the McGregor Invitational on Saturday morning. As a team the, Lamar finished in 16th Place overall out of 24 teams participating. Emily Bachicha had the top performance on the day for the Lady Bearcats as she placed 33rd out of 238 runners. TISD Free Athletic Physicals for the 2018-19 school year will be provided on Monday, April 16th, 2018 beginning around 5pm in the Temple High School gyms.
