Tem-Cat Volleyball Banquet Awards Announced

The Tem-Cat volleyball teams recently held their 2017 awards banquet. The Tem-Cats finished with a season record of 21-16 and qualified for the state playoffs for the first time since 2011. Tem-Cats go 2-1 on day one of Gatesville Tournament

GATESVILLE – The Tem-Cat volleyball team went 2-1 on the first day of the Gatesville Volleyball Tournament. Temple defeated Academy and Jarrell in their morning games in two games before falling to Belton 2-1. In Game 1, the Tem-Cats defeated Academy 25-15, 25-19. ROUND ROCK – The Tem-Cat volleyball team picked up a victory over Belton on the final day of the Westwood Showcase played at the Premier Athletic Complex in Round Rock. The Tem-Cats, playing in the bronze bracket, defeated their rival for the first time since 2011 by a hard fought score of 24-26, 25-16, 25-19.

ROUND ROCK- The Tem-Cat volleyball team collected a pair of wins on Friday at the Westwood Showcase. Temple defeated Lancaster 23-25, 25-18, 25-15 in the morning game for their first win of the season. In Game 2, the Tem-Cats fell to Poth 25-19, 25-17 but bounced back to defeat the Westwood JV 25-22, 23-25, 25-18.

The Temple volleyball teams will participate is scrimmages on Friday and Saturday in preparation for the 2017 season. Travis Athletics host parent meeting on Aug. 14th
