Girls Varsity Cross Country · Tem-Cats open 2020 season with 2nd Place finish at Holy Trinity Invitational

SALADO – The Tem-Cat Varsity Cross Country teams finished in 2nd Place on Saturday morning in their first cross country meet of the season at the Holy Trinity Invitational at Tenroc Ranch.

Leading the Tem-Cats was Sophia Garcia, a freshman who finished in 3rd Place overall in the individual standings. Garcia finished the course in a time of 23:59. Just behind Garcia was Gabby Soto in 4th Place (24:11) and Aliza Mojica, 5th Place (24:12).

Finishing in the Top 20 included, Yadhira Castillo (12th) 25:05, Mallory Dominguez (13th) 25:16, Darby Rapp (16th) 25:37 and Jaqueline Lopez (20th) 26:35.

Rounding out the runners for Temple were Rebecca Terry 26:38, Marisa Hernandez 26:44 and Naomi Ball 27:17.

Temple will compete on Thursday in the Waco High Invitational at the H.O.T Soccer Complex.
