Boys Varsity Cross Country · Tamez takes 1st Place at Holy Trinity Invitational



SALADO – The Wildcat Varsity Cross Country opened the season on Saturday morning in the Holy Trinity Invitational run at Tenroc Ranch. Led by a 1st Place finish from Tyson Tamez and placing 5 runners in the to 14 places, the Wildcat earned a second place finish overall in the tea standings.

Leading the Wildcats was sophomore Tyson Tamez who took 1st Place overall in the individual standings. Tamez ran the course in a time 17:42, well of ahead of 2nd place finisher Charlie Glass from Austin Hyde Park who finished in 18:15.

Finishing in the top 20 included Anthony Soto (5th) 19:11, Seth Orf (11th) 19:39, Austin Madsen (13th) 20:01, Kyler Vasek (14th) 20:06, Kevin Meyers (15th) 20:17 and D’Andre Jackson (18th) 20:28.

Rounding out the runners for Temple were Keeran Butler 20:37, Rudolpho Rodriguez 20:50 and Joseph Villalobas 20:55.

Temple will compete on Thursday in the Waco High Invitational at the H.O.T Soccer Complex.
