The Temple freshman boys white basketball team defeated Copperas Cove by a score of 48-42 in the final home game of the season on Tuesday night.
Both teams started out with hot shooting in the first quarter with the Wildcats leading 16-12 at the end of the first quarter. The two teams went to halftime tied at 25-25. The Wildcats took a 35-34 lead going to the fourth quarter where Kaiden Anderson’s 10 fourth quarter points helped push the Wildcats to the 48-42 victory.
Kaiden Anderson led Temple with 12 points in the contest while Courtlin Roundtree chipped in 10 points which included a pair of 3-pointers. Ben Holle had 7 points, Amaree Sewell 6, Jaquan Freeman 5, Blayre Sasser 4 and with 2 points each were Daniel Green and Julian White.
Temple improved their record to 12-1 in district 12-6A play at Harker Heights on Friday at 6:15.
