The Temple junior varsity girls basketball defeated Bryan Rudder by a score of 44-37 on Tuesday at Wildcat Gym.
Temple took a 19-13 lead into halftime but saw the Lady Rangers charge ahead for a 31-26 lead after three quarters of play. However, De’Ondrea Holley’s 7 fourth quarter points helped the Tem-Cats to outscore Rudder 18-6 in the final eight minutes to rebound and defeat the Lady Rangers.
Deasia Stanton lead Temple with 11 points while De’Ondrea Holley posted 9 points. Tamera Copeland and Kloey Sanders each had 7 points, Ky’Jsha Thompson 6, and Lashonda Roby and Jazlyn Arroyo each with 2 points.
Temple improves to 4-0 on the season and will open district play on Tuesday when they host Harker Heights at Wildcat Gym beginning at 5:30 pm.
