Girls Varsity Volleyball · Tem-Cats sweep Killeen to even district record


KILLEEN – The Tem-Cat volleyball team earned their second straight District 12-6A victory with a 25-23, 25-16, 25-14 win over Killeen High on the road Tuesday night.

Temple got huge games from seniors Jessica Vaden and Paysee Crow. Vaden had a huge night at the net recording 18 kills to lead the team. She also had 2 blocks 5 digs and 2 service aces. Crow dished out a team best 27 assist while also recording 9 kills, 8 digs, 2 block and one ace.

Hayli Hesse had a strong offensive night as she recorded 9 kills and served up 2 aces. Bella Brae collected 7 assist, 5 digs 2 aces and one kill while Ali Mack had 3 kills and 2 block. Amaya Benekin had 6 digs and 2 aces while Lyric Biggiers and Khia Kirkwood each recorded 2 blocks.

Temple improved to 2-2 in district play while Killeen fell to 0-3. Temple will play at Harker Heights on Friday night beginning at 5:30 pm.
