KILLEEN – The Tem-Cat basketball team traveled to Killeen on Tuesday and defeated the Killeen Shoemaker Lady Grey Wolves by a score of 47-36 to pick up their first victory in District 12-6A. The win improved the Tem-Cats record to 1-1 in district play.
Temple and Shoemaker went to the half tied at 19-19. However, Breyaunna Sigler knocked down 3 of her four 3-pointers in the second half to the lead the Tem-Cats push past the Lady Grey Wolves. Sigler led the Tem-Cats with 17 points, 14 of which came in the second half.
Taliyah Johnson chipped in 9 points, Coryn Grovey 8, Nyteria Colbert, Haleigh Johnson 4 and with 2 points apiece, Wilashia Burleson and Chloe Mayfield.
Temple, 5-6 on the season will host Belton at Wildcat Gym next Tuesday with tip time scheduled for 6:30 pm.
