Girls 8th Grade Lamar Track · Lamar 8th Grade Girls take 3rd at the Five Hills Relays


The Lamar Lady Bearcats 8th grade girls track & field teams participated in the Five Hills Relays held at Bulldawg Stadium in Copperas Cove on Friday.

Unfortunately, due to the weather, all of the field events were rained out. Lamar finished with a team total 60 points to finish in 3rd Place overall.

The meet was highlighted by a gold medal performance from Ali Mack in the 100 hurdles and silver medal medal performances in the 4×400 relay, Ali mack (300 hurdles) and Nadia Mireles in the 800 meters.

Khia Kirkwood – 5th  Place – 100 Meters (14.30)
Alicia Haskins – 4th Place – 200 Meters (29.20)
Nadia Mireles – 2nd Place – 800 Meters (2:49.00)
Ali Mack – 1st Place – 100 Hurdles (16.66)
Ali Mack – 2nd Place – 300 Hurdles (52.81)
4×100 Relay – 5th Place (Alicia Haskins, Jazz’Ria Gossett, Keaundrea Burleson, Khia Kirkwood) – 56.50
4×200 Relay – 4th Place (Alicia Hasins, Aliyah President, Keaundrea Burleson, Mackenzie Hitt) – 2:01.68
4×400 Relay – 2nd Place (Ali Mack, Aliyah President, Mackenzie Hitt, Nadia Mireles) – 4:43.87
