The boys freshman boys blue basketball team rolled past University on Friday night at Wildcat Gym by a score of 80-31.
Rico Troup’s 6 first quarter points gave the Wildcats a 15-6 lead after the first quarter of play. Troup tallied 7 of Temple’s 19 second quarter points as Temple had firm control of the game by halftime 34-15.
Temple put the game out of reach in the third quarter as Billy Cobb posted 11 of Temple’s 26 points in the quarter. Temple led 60-24 after the third quartet.
Rico Troup led the Wildcats with 22 points on the night followed by Billy Cobb with 20. Jamerian Duncan Andre Jackson each had 11, Joseph Stewart 6, Treyvion Wells,Isaiah Fach 4 and Cody Little 2 points.
Temple improved to 7-3 in district play and 12-10 on the season. The Wildcats will close out the regular season on Tuesday with a road game at A&M Consolidated beginning at 5:00.
