Temple and Belton cheerleaders returned from the University Interscholastic League’s Spirit State Championship upbeat and determined this week.
Belton High School competed in the UIL event for the first time this year. This was Temple High School’s second attempt at the championship having competed in the inaugural event last year.
“The girls (were) the best I’ve seen them look,” Temple Wildcats coach Jennifer Pilot said. “They really had a strong performance. … We were showcased on (a) local news channel in Fort Worth.”
The THS Cheerleaders competed in the 2nd annual UIL Spirit State Championship in the 5A division in Fort Worth, Texas on January 10-11, 2017.
