Multiple Teams · Travis football results vs. Midway Blue

The Travis Science Academy Mustangs played Midway Blue in middle school football action this past week. For the Mustangs, it was a good week as Travis went 3-0-1 in the four games played between the two squads. Here are the results from this weeks action.

8th Grade A
Travis – 14, Midway Blue – 8

The Travis A team won what turned out to be a defensive battle by a score of 14-8 and was led by A.J McDuffy who had one rushing touchdown and one touchdown pass from Luke Allen. Coach Tollerson’s defensive unit played great the entire night shutting out the Panther offense in the first half. Travis improved to 6-1 on the season.

8th Grade B
Travis – 6, Midway Blue  – 6

The Travis B team tied Midway 6-6 and was led by Jacob Orneales who scored a first half touchdown.  The Mustang defense was outstanding all night and was led by Tyler Van Berber, David Reeders and Yoskar Zuniga.  David Reeders also had an interception for the Mustangs. Travis now stands at 4-2-1 on the season.

7th Grade A
Travis – 32, Midway Blue – 6

The Travis A team defeated Midway 32-6 on Monday night  and was led by Cydric Smith’s three rushing touchdowns.  Smith also had a pair of touchdown passes, 30 yards to Michael Heckstall and Kobe Smith for 10 yards Defensive standouts for the Mustangs were Syre Maxwell, Cody Corbin, and Carlos Littlejohn. Travis improved to 5-1-1 on the season.

7th Grade B
Travis – 24, Midway – 6

The Travis B team defeated Midway 24-6 and was led by Jalen Robinson who scored two touchdowns and Jaden Jackson’s one touchdown.  Defensive standouts for Travis were Alex Alvarez, Jonathan Sanchez, Manuel Rivera and Elijah Reyes. Colton Rankin also had a 50 yard interception return for a touchdown. Travis improved their record to a perfect 7-0 on the season.

Next up for Travis will be North Belton next week. The 7th grade will play at North Belton on Monday while the 8th grade will host North Belton on Tuesday at Woodson Field.
