Multiple Teams · Lamar 8th grade boys take second at district meet

The 7th and 8th grade Lamar boys track & field teams participated in the Centex Middle School District Track & Field Championships held at Wildcat Stadium this past week.

The 8th grade team finished in second place overall in the team standings narrowly missing the championship by 3.5 points. North Belton won the 8th grade division with 100.5 points while the Bearcats were a close second with 97.

Decoryeon Jefferson and Jaques Taylor took first place in the the 200 and 400 meter events while the 4×100 relay team also took first place.
