Multiple Teams · Lamar girls track results at the district meet

The Lamar girls 7th and 8th grade track & field teams completed their 2016 season this past week by competing in the Centex District Track & Field Championships held at Wildcat Stadium in Temple.

The 8th grade team took 7th place overall in the team standings while the 7th grade team took 6th place.

LaeLae Burleson shined for the Lady Bearcats 8th grade by taking first place in the shot put and Katy Weddle took second in the high jump.

For the 7th graders, Francis McCauley won 200 meters while Lashonda Roby and Cameryn Yarbrough took second place in the long jump and discus respectively.
