Israel De La Fuente led the Wildcat Boys Cross Country team on Thursday at the Belton Invitational placing 23rd out of 134 runners.
De La Fuente finished the Wildflower Country Club course in a time of 17:09 to lead the contingent of Wildcat runners. The Temple boys team finished eleventh overall out of sixteen team which included champion Georgetown and runner-up Pflugerville Hendrickson.
Wesley Johnson not far behind in a time of 17:35 for 41st place and Holden Diserens 58th in a time of 18:17.
Other Wildcats included Cory Jonason (71) 18:32; Lane Medrano ((92) 19:26; Alan Lyles 20:22; John Utterback 20:51 and Jordan Weaver 20:54.
Juan Garcia was the top finisher for the JV Boys team in 58th place.
