Temple vs. College Station 154

The Temple Tem-Cats have fallen into a pattern they would desperately love to escape: sweep the teams behind them in the District 18-5A standings, get swept by the teams ahead of them.

Tuesday night’s match at Wildcat Gym against third-place College Station seemed to be the perfect opportunity for the fourth-place Tem-Cats to break the pattern.

They missed their chance.

College Station fought off Temple’s bid to extend the match and swept the Tem-Cats 25-20, 25-15, 28-26 to keep sole possession of third place.

Temple dropped into a tie with Bryan Rudder, which it will host Friday, for fourth place.
