Tem-Cats fall at College Station 10-2

COLLEGE STATION – The Tem-Cat softball team dropped their final road game of the season in a 10-2 loss to College Station on Wednesday in District 18-5A action.

College Station scored on a home run by Hailey Hudson in the first inning and a double by Grace Davis in the second inning to start Lady Cougar scoring. College Station tacked on two runs in the third and fourth innings respectively and capped the night with  three run sixth.

Hudson earned the win for College Station. She tossed seven innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, and striking out 14. Makenna Holland started the game for Temple. She tossed five and a third innings, giving up nine runs, nine hits, and striking out two and Bryanna Salas came in relief for  two-thirds of an inning, surrendering one run, three hits, striking out one, and walking zero.

The Tem-Cat offense came from a Bryanna salas home run and a Courtney Massar RBI single. Tayler Guerra and Mackenna Holland picked up the other hits for Temple.

Temple falls to 3-8 in 18-5A and 8-16 on the season. The Tem-Cats will host Bryan on Friday at 7 pm in their final contest of the season.
