Travis girls track & field results from the district meet

District Meet 042

The Travis Science Academy Lady Mustangs 7th and 8th grade girls track & field teams participated in the Centex District Track & Field Championships held at Tiger Field in Belton on Monday and Tuesday. The 8th grade team collected two silver medals and one bronze medal while finishing in seventh place. The 7th grade team collected one gold medal, one silver medal and two bronze medal to take fifth place.

Here are some of the results of those who placed at the meet.

8th Grade

Shakayla Anderson – 2nd Place – 100 Hurdles (17.60)
D’Azanae Baker – 2nd Place – 300 Hurdles (52.77)
4×100 Relay (Arianna Cruz, D’Azanae Baker, Shakayla Anderson, Tamera Copeland) 5th Place (54.57)
Tamera Copeland – 3rd Place – Triple Jump (31’2)

7th Grade

Ajiah Taylor – 3rd Place – 100 Hurdles (17.77)
4×100 Relay (Ajiah Taylor, D’Andrea Holley, Jasmin Taylor, Nyteria Colbert) 3rd Place (54.05)
4×200 Relay (Amaya Benekin, D’Ondrea Holley, Jasmin Taylor, Nyteria Colbert) 5th Place (1:57.37)
4×400 Relay (D’Ondrea Holley, Jasmin Taylor, Lyric Biggiers, Nyteria Colbert) 2nd Place (4:31.20)
