The Wildcat and Tem-Cat Cross Country teams finished 6th and 7th respectively at the Lampasas Invitational on Friday.
The Wildcats were led by medalist Chuey Hernandez, who finished 8th in a time of 16:50. He was followed by Luis Rojas, who finished 17th in a time of 17:18. Other scorers were Chris Cadavid (31st), Kamron Gossett (44), and Seth Little (54th). Caleb Cook (68th), Bryce Richardson (81st), and Avery Rodriguez (87th) also competed for the Wildcats.
The Tem_Cats were led by Carly Moore who finished 32nd in a time of 22:04. Hannah Esparza ad Gaby Soto finished 37th and 41st and both posted season best times of 22:31 and 22:36. Rounding out the scoring was Arleth Subiria (45th) and Jackie Vass (48th). Other finishers were Allison Sodek (49th), Lexi Medlock (60th), Janet Cisneros (61st), Alyssa Velasquez (75th) and Lexi Short (84th).
The JV girls were 4th and the JV boys were 9th. Leading the girls was Lauren Munoz who finished 23rd. Austin Madsen ran a personal best, 20:15, to lead the JV boys finishing in 39th.
Both teams will compete at the 18-5A District Meet this Thursday at the Dale Watts Course at Texas A & M University.
