The Lady Wildcat soccer team and Waco played a scoreless first half at Woodson Field but in the second half, Waco rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Temple 2-1 in District 18-5A action.

Temple took a 1-0 lead with 33:01 left in the second half when Melanie Foutz set up Alisha Nesbitt for the go ahead goal for the Lady Wildcats.

Waco knotted the game at 1-1 seven minutes later and scored the game winning goal with nine minutes left to play in the game.

Temple outshot the Lady Lions 10-6 on the night with Nasia Hawkins collecting four saves in goal.

Temple (2-7-1, 0-3-1) will have a bye on Tuesday and return to district play next Friday at A&M Consolidated.
