Lady Wildcat Soccer opens 2017 season with a split

PFLUGERVILLE – The Temple Lady Wildcat Soccer team opened the 2017 season on Monday with a double header on Monday with an opening game with a 3-1 win over Hyde ParK and a 4-3 loss to Pflugerville Connally.

In the opening game against Hyde Park, a pair of goals from Alisha Nesbit and a one from Mackenzie Corbin staked the Lady Wildcat to a 3-0 lead as they held on to win 3-1.

In the second game, Pflugerville Connally jumped out to a 3-0 lead on the lady Wildcats only to see Temple roar back with a another pair of goals from Nesbit and a game tying goal from Carley Douglas. However, Connally notched the 4-3 win as they scored on a penalty kick with 6 minutes remaining in the contest.

Temple (1-1) returns to action on Thursday in the Princeton Tournament. It will be only tournament played this year as the Killeen Tournament this past weekend was cancelled.
