Cross Country teams fall short of state bids

HUNTSVILLE – The Temple boys and girls cross country teams fell short of their bids to reach the state cross country meet at Kate Barr Ross Park in Huntsville on Saturday. The girls team finished in 16th Place while the boys were in 13th.

On the girls side, Carly Moore was the top individual finisher in 64th place overall with a time of 21:57 on the 5K. Lexi Medlock was 98th in 23:16 and Ajah McNeil 108th in 23:44. Also for Temple were, Kaitlynn Goode 24:50, Janet Cisneros 24:56.

On the boys side, Chuey Hernandez as the top finisher as a freshman in 37th place in a time of 17:37. Four more Wildcats finished in the Top 100 let by Carlos Crisanto 74th (18:30), Luis Rojas 76th (18:34), Treyce Bailey 85th (18:46) and Israel De La Fuente (18:54). Rounding out the Temple contingent was Chris Cadivid 19:18 and Damian Soto 19:55.
