The Tem-Cat and Wildcat Cross Country teams finished 6th and 7th respectively at the Georgetown River Run.
Leading theTem-Cats was the ever consistent Arleth Subiria who finished 28th in a time of 20:42. She was followed by Carly Moore in 39th with a time of 21:13. Right behind was Lexi Medlock in 40th(21:21). Rounding out the scoring was Jackie Vass in 43rd(21:29), Ajah McNiel in 81st(23:22), Janet Cisneros in 86th(23:34), and Kaitlynn Goode in 87th(23:34).
The Wildcats were led by surging senior Carlos Crisanto who finished 20th in a personal best time of 16:58. Two freshman weren’t far behind with Chuey Hernandez finishing 27th(17:11) and Luis Rojas in 28th(17:12). A resurgence by senior Israel de la Fuente saw him finish 50th(17:36). He was followed closely by Treyce Bailey in 56th(17:48), Damian Soto in 59th(17:51) and Chris Cadavid in 63rd(17:59).
Coach Melvin was extremely pleased with the effort of all the runners. “We are rounding in to form at the right time. District is next Thursday and it is great to see the times that we are posting. If we continue to work hard, district is shaping up to be an exciting race.”
