Travis vs. Bonham 068

The Travis Science Academy Mustangs played the Bonham Bulldogs this week in middle school football action at Wildcat Stadium. The Mustangs won three of the four games played with the 8th Grade A and 7th Grade B teams claiming the city championship in their division. Here are the results from this weeks action.

8th Grade A
Travis – 56, Bonham – 25

The Travis 8th Grade A defeated Bonham by a score of 56-25. Travis was led by AJ McDuffy who scored 3 touchdowns to lead the Mustang scoring. Dylan Harty tacked on a pair of  touchdowns on the ground along with Thomas McVade. Luke Allen threw a 25 yard touchdown pass to Treyvion Wells to cap off the scoring  Defensive standouts for Travis were Ke’von Malone, Dylan Harty, Rashaad Mayo, and Joseph Stewart.  Phabian Minor also had an interception. Travis improved to 5-1 on the season.

8th Grade B
Travis – 8, Bonham 32

The Travis B team fell to Bonham 32-8 and was led by Jacob Orneales who had a 25 yard touchdown run.  Defensive standouts for the Mustangs were David Reeders, Diego Trevino, Bryan Williams and Tyler Van Beber. Travis fell to 4-2 on the season.

7th Grade A
Travis – 13, Bonham – 0

The Travis A team defeated Bonham by a score of 13-0. Travis was led by LeMichael Thompson who had a 45 yard touchdown run and Ke’Andre smith who had a 25 yard touchdown run.  Defensive standouts for the Mustangs were Johnny Donoso, Keyshawn Smith, Nikolas Skinner and Kaleb Hill.  Ke’Andre Smith also had an interception. Travis improved to 4-1-1 on the season.

7th Grade B
Travis – 27, Bonham – 0

The Travis B team defeated Bonham by a score of 27-0. The Mustangs were led by Alex Alvarez who had a 30 yard touchdown, Jaden Jackson’s 55 yard touchdown, and Jalen Robinson also had a 55 yard touchdown.  Defensive standouts for Travis were Jason McNeil, Jonathan Sanchez, Manuel Rivera, Colton Rankin and Adonis Green.  Jonathan Sanchez also recovered a fumble and returned it 40 yards for touchdown.  The B team improved their record to 6-0 and are the 7th Grade B team City Champions.

 

 

Next up for Travis is the Midway Blue team. The 7th grade will be on the road Monday while the 8th grade will host Midway at Woodson Field on Tuesday.
