CEDAR PARK – The boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Cedar Park Invitational this Saturday.
The boys finished 17th out of 28 teams and this week were led by freshman Luis Rojas who finished 55th in a time of 18:13. Senior Carlos Crisantos was next in 75th place with a time of 18:35. Other scorers for the Wildcats were Chuey Hernandez in 89th(18:54), Israel de la Fuente in 115th(19:16) and Damian Soto in 122nd(19:27).
The Tem-Cats finished 18 out of 25 teams. Heading up the list of scorers was Arleth Subiria who finished 67th with a time of 22:07. Closely behind was sophomore Carly Moore in 70th with a time of 22:10. Rounding out the scorers for the Tem-Cats were Jackie Vass in 89th(22:48), Lexi Medlock in 111th(23:24), and Kaitlynn Goode in 142nd(24:08).
Coach Melvin was pleased with the effort and preparation of the runners for the meet. “The meet is one of the premier meets in the state. The field was loaded with great programs and gave us a clear picture of what it will take to reach that next level.” The teams will head to Waco this Thursday for the Waco Invitational.
