PFLUGERVILLE – The girls and boys cross country teams both finished 4th this Friday at the Pflugerville I.S.D. Invitational.
Top runner for the girls was medalist Arleth Subiria who finished 13th in a time of 20:35. The other scorers for the girls were Carly Moore in 19th(21:10), Lexi Medlock in 26th(21:45), Jackie Vass in 28th(21:52), and Ajah McNiel in 41st(22:17).
The boys were led by freshman medalists Chuey Hernandez and Luis Rojas. Hernandez finished 13th in a time of 16:43 and Rojas finished 15th in a time of 16:59. Rounding out the scorers for the boys were Treyce Bailey in 25th(17:19), Chris Cadavid in 27th(17:20), and Carlos Crisanto in 33rd(17:25).
Coach Melvin continues to see improvement in times as many the runners ran personal bests.
The JV girls won the championship and were led by three freshman medalists. In 6th place was Amya McNiel, 9th was Alyssa Velasquez, and in 11th was Lauren Munoz.
The JV boys were led again by Zakkary Diserens who finished in 37th place. The teams will be competing next Saturday in Cedar Park against some of the stiffest competition in the area.
