The Wildcat offense continued to plug away single runs in the second and fifth innings. The fifth saw Cheek pick up an RBI single extending the Temple lead to 4-0. However, Cheeks success wasn’t just limited to the mound as he was 2-3 with a walk and the RBI at the plate.

Temple put the game away with three runs in the seventh as the Wildcats got an RBI single by Mendoza, a passed ball, and an error to extend the Temple lead to 7-0.
